I recently stumbled across this game called Elin and I am thoroughly addicted. I loved the original Elona back in the day and would have it running in the background and play it between dungeon runs in games like Mabinogi, same developer and all. I am slightly disappointed the wildness has been dialed back somewhat in Elin compared to Elona (I used to think tactically nuking a town was the funniest shit imaginable) but Elona is…very much a product of the mid-late 2000’s but I’m not going to get into that right now.
So let’s introduce our little guy here, Me! er…rather Elin me. I named my little home Hell because I died in it several times. If you’re wondering why it’s a mess it’s because I wanted to make money as soon as possible because that blessing from the goddess that prevents any penalty from death only lasts 90 days so I threw myself into the fray of everything imaginable to get a feel for what I was in for. I was killed many times by Yeeks, Mercenaries, and Nuns but I persevered and I feel I’ve gotten a pretty solid handle on the game now. I mostly just sell spellbooks I find to the collection box and pay my taxes. Its not much but its honest work!
I wanted to skill train too so here is the character and skill sheet! I was going to write more but its gotten late and heading into the new year I’ve got a lot I want to work on. I WILL update this periodically. Here’s to many more adventures in Elin!
